I remember a top guy from Gruntal said something like historically the market never crash (or turn bear ) because of valuation alone. This seems to be a good point so the bull market could continue until some other thing comes in and break the party.

Unfortunately 'the thing' that usually breaks up the party/a bull market is the Fed's intervention/rising interest rates. That's why the rising yield on the long bond is troublesome.

Also what is your take on the AOL TWX deal today. I was surprised by the willingness of Time Warner shareholders to accept AOL stock as a currency. Do you think this validify the valuation of AOL?

I think a look at a daily chart for TWX says it all. Up until yesterday, the stock was stuck in a trading range roughly between $50-60 this past year. Yesterday, after the deal's announcement, the stock closed at $90+. Now what part of this deal do you think the TWX shareholders have trouble accepting?
