I was surprised that AOL was up at all today. Generally the larger company takes a hit in any buy out. I believe AOL will pull back somewhat this week; but will eventually rebound to new highs. Every time I think AOL has reached it's plateau, AOL rebounds to find new directions to increase it's value. I think AOL has a group of people I'd refer to a "think tank" who see things in a different light and will continue to make this company a leader for years to come. JMHO

Don`t despair doc. I sold all my aol too. I`m going to do like zello and put my money where there is "more bang for my bucks". Try to move forward in a positive fashion and quit looking back. Pay the capital gains with the money you make on a more lucrative stock. What`s with all the whining about paying capital gains tax. To me , it`s like saying you don`t want to win the lottery because you don`t want to pay the taxes on the money you won.

<<As a believer in organized conspiracy, can it be that this downdraft in AOL today be a ploy to bring down the price of AOL so that it can be scooped up by the financial houses at a steep discount rate?

Just a theory.>>

Just a theory huh ??? Don't be so sure. The houses control this market. The folks that matter like this deal. This is awesome for AOL. The 1900's are over. We are now in 2000.
