Swizard . . .sorry for the confusion. For picks made prior to Jan. 7 we are using the next day's opening price as the start prices. Therefore, since you made your pick on Dec. 24 your start price would be the opening price on Dec. 27.

I checked the opening price of AKAM for Dec. 27 and it shows 282 9/16. I don't know where I got the 344 3/16. I must have had one too many glasses on punch. Thanks for catching it.

Does 282 9 1/16 look correct to you? I will make the change.

P.S. Next year if I do this again, I will use the end-of-year closing price for everyone. This will simplify things.

swizard . . . I am VERY sorry. I'm not thinking straight today. For picks made prior to Jan. 3 the "start price" is the opening price on Jan. 3. Since you made your pick on Dec. 24 your "start price" is the Jan. 3 opening price. Unfortunately for AKAM it looks like it gapped up to a high of 344 3/16 at the open on Jan. 3. Nevertheless, it shows an opening price of 344 3/16 for Jan. 3 so this is the "start price" you are stuck with.

I really apologize for this confusion. For picks made between Jan. 3 and Jan. 7 (the deadline) we are using the next day's opening price as the "start price." For some unknown reason I confused myself this morning.

Don't feel too bad, because of the way the market acted the first week of the year there are others who are in the same boat.

Again, sorry for the confusion which I caused.
