GVT - Do you happen to know whether the options market recognizes intra-spread limit orders? Let's say I place an order to buy Dell calls and my limit price is within the MM bid-asked spread. Does my order have any chance of being filled (assuming no shift in the market) or am I just wasting my time? Are the options markets similar to the NASDAQ setup in the old days, in which intra-spread limit orders weren't recognized?

Several of us (Chuzz, nihil) kicked around this issue last year but I don't think we reached a conclusion.

Assuming you trade options, do you use market or limit orders?
