OT Having had my life literally saved by a timely 911 call on a cellular after a sailing accident, I would love to see a bright red SOS button on phones, built so it couldn't be accidentally activated.

Jeff, I agree. Although I think you are thinking of the car communications system including that "security" feature, I think there will be a lot of folks buying a new cell phone when 911 capability is available. I certainly will.
