The Internet lets people behave without real consequences or accountability; it's easy to tell someone to screw themselves, pat yourself on the back and shut off your PC feeling like you have really one-upped the dude. Stupid, self-serving and pointless - but easy nonetheless. In the largely hierarchical US government, "big shots" often hide behind their titles and supposed importance in the current administration or Congress, and tee off on anyone dumb enough to put up with it (i.e. all the ambitious little munchkins who want to be a big shot themselves someday).
