I agree with you these mergers will lead to realization of new shareholder values after all Time Warner was not a part of this recent rally, it does bring to open the issue of unrealized potential of DIS and other companies. So long DIS may be the right answer and other undervalued communication and content companies.

If one is out of the new economy what a good way to get into it through AOL type mergers, you do get a premium and one also become a part of new economy. These mergers are going to multiply as old companies will go for new co-operative ventures with leading e-commerce corporations, now if AMZN decides to merge with K-Mart it makes perfect sense instead of throwing money on cement and mortar long term storage. Cut K-mart to size and use the space free, K-MART would command premium and AMZN can pay through its stocks, Amazon.Mart. com makes perfect sense, now this is just an idea but I see it coming why to spend on cement and mortar when one can do without it..fwiw some thoughts only..
