HONG KONG (Dow Jones)--Newbridge Networks Corp. (NN) said Tuesday it has won
a contract to expand a data network operated by the Guangdong Post and
Telecommunications Administration in southern China.
The Canadian company develops wide-area-networking computer systems for
Internet, broadcasting and communications companies.
Newbridge didn't say how much the contract is worth, but did say it was a
"multimillion U.S. dollar" deal, in the press release announcing the contract.
The new contract is the second phase of a project to update the provincial
postal authority's data network, the press release said.
