Dear Tiger Paw and all: Well, it appears I was overly suspicious. Maybe its the auditor in me, maybe its my prior experiences in NASDAQ but here is what I am told happened with EMC. Apparently, one of the after hours trades on probably Island got in before the official numbers were released to the services. I understand this is a rare occurence but does happen. The fact that someone would sell 100 or 200 shares for 110 immediately after 65,000 were bought at 113+ is only because the people who trade on Island often are not sophisticated and Island is not linked into the other exchanges or whatever they are called. Thus the person wouldnt have known about that other trade unless it too was in say Island. The more sophisticated afterhours traders use Instinet. So, I was wrong to blame the specialist. 100 lashes with the ole wet noodle. JDN
