amic, re: "To long-timers: how good/bad are Q1s for Intel usually? how do you feel about this coming Q1?
To anyone: how do stock like INTC tend to behave after an announcement?"

First quarter results - '96 4Q to '97 1Q, revenues up slightly; '97 to 98, revenue down about 8%; '98 to '99, revenues down about 7%. I would guess revenues flat to up slightly in 1Q '00 due to pent up demand from Y2K purchase halts and capacity constraints in Q4 '99.

Earning reaction - Unpredictable (IMO). Many times, even on good news, the stock trades flat or down until after options expire, then makes a move. With the current move up, I wouldn't be surprised to see them sell the good (hopefully) news on Friday.
