Hi!!

RE: Instead of IBM, what about, say, Sony? I assume there is a connection already with the Dell Trinitron monitors. Make that thing a "PC-TV", put in an Intel chip, a DVD player, a CD rom for games and software, and a cable modem for broadband, and you would have THE product of the 21st century for the masses! And who could better market, manufacture and distribute such a product worldwide than Dell?

I'm sure if DELL felt that this was a widespread and popular future concept they would be ready to sell them...We already know the model can adapt to almost anything..."fast follower"..
But why not IBM? The PC era is just beginning..."47 MILLION UNITS A YEAR BY 2004" Do the math on that..
:o)

Best, Kemble

tc....re: "sony....pc tv"

who can better manufacture and distribute such a product worldwide then dell?..........sony itself...do not need dell to sell a consumer product as dell lacks experience, and retail sales channel. dell also has limited international sales and marketing experience compared to sony....

no need to bother "mikey" with this idea...he is too busy being invisible....
