If you read some of the quarterlies on AMVC you might find something on convertible debentures. I seem to remember them getting into a deal like that. Check for yourself but the action you just described is typical in these conversion situations.

Re:AMVC, did you notice on the shake a 50,000 size on the bid @ 1 1/8? I think someone wants cheap shares. And some were scared enough to fall for it...and some bought... I don't know about any converts, I am looking at the t/a, and it is under buy pressure, even if the price does not reflect it. It needs to work through 1.50 for the picture to become clearer, untill then it will bounce around in the recent range. I first posted it at 25/32, so it worked through a buck. This is usually the case with micros, you just have to try to filter through the mud..of course I could also be wrong...and any stock in this price area is dangerous, but that is how you make big % gains, get in as early as possible.. General market selling off now, and we have options expiring next week, so we are going to see some big swings real soon...., and this includes stock options, treasury/interest rate products, and indexes....check the TYX, the 30 year bond yield, it just hit another new yearly high today....
