In Lisa Smith's case she received two stab wounds to the heart with a four inch knife. The hundred yards or so she covered took about twenty seconds.

That's very much like what happened with the assassination of Elizabeth of Austria. She was on a pier, walking toward the imperial yacht, when she was attacked by a man. He was pulled away quickly, and she continued to walk toward the boat. As soon as she was on board, she collapsed, dead from a stab wound to the heart.
