Toysrus.com Customers Sue Toy Co.

By TROY WOLVERTON, CNET News.com

Two Seattle lawyers filed a class-action suit on Wednesday against Toys R Us claiming that the company's online retail Web
site ''knowingly and deceptively accepted orders for Christmas presents the company knew it could not deliver.''

The suit was filed in King County Superior Court in Washington state.

The suit attempts to represent all Toysrus.com customers who bought toys on the Web site by Dec. 14, 1999 — the deadline
Toysrus.com set for Christmas delivery — but didn't receive their gifts by Dec. 25.

Toys R Us could not immediately be reached for comment.
