Impristine, perhaps I should have stated what I thought were the disadvantages of ISDN rather than "sarcasming" it over.

I know here in Chicago, even with the "great deals" Ameritech was offering, the service was so darn expensive and bandwidth (according to several ISDN techs I spoke to) would severely diminish when you had an incoming/outgoing telephone call. The cost for the 128K line was absolutely ridiculous for the service you got. With it's ills, even cable is a better choice over ISDN.

I'm sorry to hear about your experience with PacBell. It's not the first (and not the last) horror story I've heard. Hopefully, you'll have more choices in the upcoming year. I know that unless your in an ideal area, not all of the services are available at this time.
