Let's assume the Fed's actions takes the long-term bond to
7.5 - 8%. Let's assume A.G. doesn't care about the presidential elections this year as he has already been reconfirmed to another term. This market will get beat up bigtime - no question about it - and buying the dips may not be the correct strategy if that scenario comes to be. It seems to me that market trading strategies are always evolving and one has to be prepared to change very quickly in this casino type of environment. I live in Vegas and gambling in Vegas is pale in comparison to the gambling that's going on in Wall Street. That being said, holding great companies long term through the ups and downs is the only sound strategy I know of assuming that one bought those companies at excellent prices and can hold through the turbulent down times that will occur.
