I2, I'm about 25 days into the 30 day free trial for Sybergen Secure Desktop. It seems to work quite well and gets a stealth rating on all port probe attempts at Shields Up.

My only gripe is I can't figure out how to make it alert me when I'm being probed. The only way I know is to maximize it and check for red X's that mark non-expected TCP connections.

I would like to hear someone with a cable modem give their opinion as it's my understanding that they are attacked more often than dial-up users like myself.

I use the Internet connection sharing software Sygate at work and home. Very well done, with a built in firewall. Their SyShield product is pretty clean too. Nothing fancy, but it does the job for a desktop firewall program. If you want advanced configuration options though, you'll want something else.
