<<``Combining Vyvx satellite and teleport technology with Williams' network capabilities provides Internet content providers the opportunity to augment terrestrial delivery systems with a satellite delivery system for bandwidth- intensive content. Satellite delivery infrastructures provide the capability to bypass bottlenecks common to terrestrial networks while supporting multi- cast distribution of content,' said Wes Hanemayer, vice president of Vyvx teleport and satellite systems.>>

Although WH was talking about integrating satellite service with fiber for internet service, the same model holds for G* and fiber for voice services.

Lance,

<<Maybe one of us nuts>>

That would be me.

Nevertheless, it looks like G* handsets haven't hit the Dallas area yet. But I think I'm jumping the gun since G* has over a month to get the phones out.
I also discovered I can buy the G* phone online through Airtouch app.airtouch.com
Do I understand correctly that promotional rates for premium service are .69/min? What a deal.
