It is the second "most" excellent thermal conductor known to man, after "buckyballs".. They are just another form of carbon atoms rearranged to make a substance that's even denser than diamonds.

Btw glenn, as you know metals are not the best conductors of electricity. Superconducting ceramics are. :)

Thanks, Glenn. Pretty cool since diamond is an electrical insulator -- the two typically go together.

I'm sorry, I can't be buying any diamonds right now... :-). But I'll think of you if I'm in the market for one!
