Steve - Thanks, I may pick up that book. I'm not as TA savvy as many, so I've found that my timing has often been terrible but my instincts not so bad, so LEAPS work fairly well for me.

Also, after reviewing the price swings of various strike prices/expiration dates, I've found that in the case of short term price increases, far out of the money LEAPS tend to appreciate at a higher percentage than closer to in-the-money calls with earlier expiration dates. So it seems that I'm increasing my potential return while reducing the short term risk.
