Why didn't Lehman delay the private placement until after the panel? I can understand that perhaps there is a time factor involved here, but wouldn't Sunrise get a better deal post-approval? Where's the hole in my thinking?

FWIW, SNRS is paying an incredible premium for those who fool around, as I do, with covered calls. As of today's close, you could sell the January $10 for $3.50 or the January $12.50 for $2.375. Assuming you sold the Jan. $10 and were called out, that would be a 27% return. Assuming you sold the Jan. $12.50 and were called out, it would be a 40% return. Not too shabby for an 11-day investment (Jan. options expire Jan. 21). This is one of the richest premiums I've ever seen for a covered call play. Of course the risk is that the stock will collapse between now and then.
