If the market hiccups, you will see a lot of people who "value" cash. BTW, I think we are too quick to generalize in today's world with respect to J6P, lemmings, etc....I know I'm as guilty of this as the next person (how's that for a nice generalization).

The oil market looks to be inflationary to this observer, no matter how the 'talking heads' try to persuade the public that oil, like gold, is an old institution not worthy of investment. Gold futures reversed this afternoon almost at the same moment that the DJIA started to tank. hmmm....

Rising bond yields have not slowed down the stock market and that should a concern for stockholders going forward. We have entered earnings season so there will be a ton of news. It will be interesting what the press decides are the issues to focus on over the next 2 weeks. My guess is we are in for a very wild ride in the US stock market with a downward bias for the major indexes.
