this volatility (sharp initial break after huge run-up, attempt to regain highs in a sharp snap-back move, failure and continued sell-off), is exactly what one would expect when a top is in...just look at how the commodities rallies of the late 70's early 80's ended...their blow-off tops looked EXACTLY like this.
