Got out at 68. I too wish everyone well with this stock but I do not see AOL as being a profitable stock for a long long time to come.
I take no issue with anyone who comes to that conclusion and sells. That's better than only selling due to FUD. But on the profitability issue, let's see. AOL is going to buy, mainly with stock rather than cash, a company that last year produced 4.5B in revenue from publishing 33 magazines, owns the most popular cable networks, including CNN, HBO, TNT, and others, has 13 million subs on cable, has 4B in revenues from their music business and grossed 1.3B from movie tickets. And this merger happens at a time when convergence between the internet, television, and mobile devices is about to enter the tornado. So to conclue that AOL will not be a profitable stock may be a bit premature.

Part of the problem, I think, is that many investors wrongly concluded that AOL was a pure net play, when in fact it has always been a media company. For a pure net play, Yahoo is much better, and perhaps that is where the AOL sellers should be. Maybe Yahoo will continue growing on other company's eyeballs forever, but I doubt it.

For me, I am going to ride this one out and keep to my target of two years from now. This temporary downturn may set me back a quarter, and if I was a trader I could make money on it, but I am not so I will just hold this monster and buy on the dips.

Good luck to you.
