In fact, had I stayed in AOL, I would have lost 500 x $9 or $4500 today. Since I switched to TWX, my 340 shares only equates to a $6 x 340 or about a $2050 loss. Had I been smarter, I would have held off buying TWX until today or tomorrow, but I was thinking TWX would move up while AOL moved down and they would meet somewhere in the middle. Well, can't call it all.

I'll own the same amount of the new company and the cash I free up yesterday $6k can be used to buy other stocks. Damn sure glad I dumped AOL, who is bearing the brunt of the negativity on this deal.
