I thought the whole thrust of gurudom was to have an inner sanctum of followers and everyone else. The inner sanctum are paid by getting early entry into the picks and in return, used to echo the guru by posting additional 'research' and to perform a fluff job on the guru. Then there are the different levels of paying schmucks, each hoping to get in ahead of the next level of fool. They all know they're fools, but they figure someone else is lower on the totem poll. The lowest are the lurkers. They rarely post, but jump around message boards to try to steal hot picks.
