The Tuesday Selloff <<Watch List for January 11, 2000 below>> IS, All I had was INTC calls from any large cap or tech sector stock. VTSS which I sold yesterday thankfully I warned NOT to hold through earnings as it was too risky.. I rarely hold something like AOL and YHOO especially after news. I saw the H&D, classic breakout to the downside. Now AOL is down to her 'pantaloons'. I covered a short of PLUG thinking it had enough after 20 points down and it was down another 8 today. ACVC which was the first stock mentioned on the watch list was up about 8 intraday and closed up two, and although a really bad day for nasdaq. ABSC mentioned over and over this week continued to rally explosively, up yet another 13% although the other biotechs we had triggered trailing stops after 2 weeks of gains. BBOX continued its uptrend as well. There were some good plays from the morning and WEBT had a possibility of a good flip with 8 points above its open and CARI had 7 from its open and closed up 2. MCRE, CVTX, MDLI, CARI, and EXAR ended in the green and BBOX, DAVX is forming the right shoulder of a head and shoulders bottom and Watch List of January 11, 2000 ACVC broke out fabulously on Monday as did COHU. It is very important to check the earnings plays. I checked over all of them last night and marked those with breakouts and buy triggers. The stocks on today's list are a combination of earnings plays and plays from recent watch lists.. Biotechs and small caps have been marvelous. ELON.. one of our 'trigger buys' jumped nearly 30% today. This was called on the day it came out on the Watch List, January 6. PSIX on our list on the same day at 52 closed at 76 15/16 today. SO its a stock selectors market again and there will always be something that will go up.
