Mooooarvelous is my guess! Gotta get a mike set-up. So much easier to convey ideas verbally than in print.

AOL/TWX did'nt they sign with ISLD to do the hosting and content delivery? Much better model than ATHM. Subs can only grow but it's obvious the combined companies can't grow at the rate AOL "could have" standing alone. As to the combined "value" I don't know, stocks have been trading on vision and momentum.

Digital Island Announces Strategic Relationship With Road

Runner for Broadband Content Delivery

Business Editors & High-Tech Writers

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 11, 2000--

Digital Island to Deploy Powerful Content Distributors That Reach

More Than 500,000 Road Runner Customers

Digital Island, Inc. (Nasdaq:ISLD), a leading global e-Business
Delivery Network, announced today a strategic relationship with Road
Runner, in which Digital Island will integrate its content delivery
services into Road Runner's broadband cable network to facilitate
content delivery in key U.S. markets - extending Digital Island's
ability to deliver a fast, guaranteed and rich infrastructure capable
of supporting the demands of interactive e-Business.

The alliance with Road Runner represents a significant step in
Digital Island's worldwide network build-out - expected to be among
the largest deployments of carrier-grade servers at the outer edges of
the network. The servers will run Digital Island's Footprint(TM),
which gives leading e-Businesses the power to deliver Web sites more
efficiently and profitably while dramatically improving site
performance.
"Digital Island has one of the most compelling models we've seen
for global content delivery in the age of e-Business," said Larry
Levine, senior vice president of business development at Road Runner.
"We have a mutually beneficial association where the real winners are
e-Businesses and their customers."
"This agreement with Road Runner gives Digital Island's customers
direct access to an emerging gold class of Internet users who are
sophisticated enough to appreciate the high quality of service that
Road Runner provides for an optimal e-Business experience," said Ruann
F. Ernst, chairman and CEO of Digital Island. "Our new relationship
with Road Runner clearly illustrates the benefits of content
distribution coupled with a back-end transaction engine in order to
reach a coveted demographic audience." quote.bloomberg.com.
