Voltaire...would someone please get the bond traders laid!

I've never seen such a doomsday bunch in my life...do these guys ever get cheery about anything? There is no inflation and they just keep rising the bond yields...now their saying that 7% is on target....yet inflation is at a lowest level in 5 years.....

The 3 take back rates hikes of 1999 have yet to have their full effect and bond traders are talking about another 3 rate hikes ahead?

Anyone honestly believes that Greenspan will raise rates 6 times in a row? And heading into an election year? After the last experience of '87 Greenspan 3 hikes crashed the markets into the fall. And quite honestly, I don't believe Greenspan wants to start the 2000 Election Year with a Stock Market on Correction mode bleeding investor confidence and reversing international market recoveries.

Any comments are welcomed......
