Howdy Colleen, Thank you for the birthday wishes. I was thanking you in spirit the other day because the body was failing. It is so good to have a merciful God.

I wanted to tell you about a description of the Holy Spirit that I once heard.
Our spirit is colorless, tasteless, and for all purposes could be said to resemble clear water in a cup. When a person is filled with the Holy Spirit, it is said that it is like putting a teabag into a cup of water. When the Holy Spirit moves on, He leaves our spirit with color, and taste, and substance that refreshes and revives our spirit. The Holy Spirit(teabag) still retains its original properties, but we are left with His filling.

I have always remembered that when I think of Holy Spirit within me.

I hope that you have recovered from your influenza.

God bless and bring you joy and peace.

Santiago

Greetings Colleen and good morning, thank you for your response. Yes it does seem like many people are afraid when they hear about the Holy Spirit. I believe the main reason being that of ignorance to the scriptures declaring who and what the Holy Spirit would do and also a lack of " intimacy " of believers with the Lord Most Holy. He would " live within " all believers and He would always glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. May You always be aware of His continual abiding and presence as you journey with our Lord. Robert
