Voltaire, Let me make sure I understand your plan of action.

1) You will hold your '01 existing Leaps
2) You will write calls this week with half of your remaining cash.
3) You will write calls at approximately the end of next week with the remaining other half.
4) You will average in more '01 leaps after the 40% correction from the new top using the cash generated from writing the calls.

Questions:

1) If you were holding Jan calls, would you sell them this week or next?

2)If you expect the 40% correction, why not sell your '01 leaps and buy back after the correction?

Thanks for posting your planned trades. It helps many of us balance our own plan.

Volt, I have been a lurker for a longggggg time. I have joined S.I. as of tonight. The mood of the thread is not the best for a first time poster. I hope I am welcomed. I think that I picked a name that won't offend anybody, and I will watch my tongue. The reason for my post is this: a lot of people read this thread's posts and hang on every serious word posted. If a lot of people get what you are saying wrong you may get your 20% drop tomorrow. I hope that this stock will go upwards forever, am not a big enough Huckleberry to believe it will. A correction is in order, but I hope not as big as you have said. I have watched your calls with amazement and will follow others as well. I would like to thank everyone on this thread for the wealth I have made and wish an equal amount of health to the members of this thread in return.

JA

in 1994 I went thru a 40-60% correction in my smallcaps
they dominated my entire account

that experience and a few more with smallcaps led me to permanently walk away

after the first wave, then comes the beartraps to be bought
then comes the second wave
self doubt yields to depression and seclusion
it is horrible
been there, done that

this potato farmer be hedging after earnings
doing it again in April
tax selling will be next timeline event
stock will be sold to pay for taxes
