Going from calling Qualcomm a prince in a royalty game to using their Gorilla power as an updated example in the manual is one heck of a change.

Mike,

As we on this thread have correctly pointed out in the past, writing a book using historical data is very different than applying investment concepts in real time. This is yet another example. Something that was not clearly seen by the author when it happened, can be stated as a matter of fact, in hindsight.

We are all bombarded with so much new information each day that it seems prudent to analyze data, draw a conclusion and move on. However, I think the lesson here is that it is important to revisit significant events to monitor how they are playing out. Even an astute (but very busy) observer can be wrong, and it takes a special effort, and an open mind, to reassess events and see them in their proper context.
