I'll just stick it here so everyone can read it, thanks. Founded in 1995, Vancouver based Totally Hip Software is an award winning developer of multimedia software. Its first major product was WebPainter, a product that enabled production of animated gifs, QuickTime movies and more. The product won numerous awards including a Macworld Best of Show and four stars from PC Computing magazine. It sold WebPainter to the Columbia Diversified Software Fund in 1997. Plagued by persistent losses, $589,364 for the third quarter ending June 30, 1999 $0.04 a share), $1,643,101 for the nine months to June 30, 1999, the company cut staff from 23 to 7, dropped its consumer oriented product and re-focused on its LiveStage Professional QuickTime authoring software. The product won its fourth consecutive Best of Show at the Macworld Expo in July 1999. In October 1999 the company moved to re-acquire its award winning WebPainter product from Columbia and completed the re-acquisition in December. Recently the company projected an improved picture with losses reduced to $0.02 a share for the fourth quarter and $0.01 for the first quarter of 2000. With the recent commitment by Steve Jobs and Apple at the MacWorld Expo in January 2000 to vigorously promote QuickTime, investors started seeing new hope for Totally Hip sending its share price to over double its low of $0.30. The new lean re-focused company may yet prove to be a winner.
