I do not dispute you there, but potentially foregoing .18 ramping to save the .25 would have been lunacy.

I really believe you all are trying to tie something together with the .25 vs. 18 thing that can't be tied. The decisions that put these things in motion were made months to years ago. To be able to turn process generations on and off on a dime is not feasible.

Intel warned at the beginning of the quarter that supplies were strained across the product line. Some of the scenarios that are being presented here wouldn't have been known until after those announcements, even if they were true.

You all are straining to read way to much into the situation; it's not that complicated, IMHO.
