I'm have no idea about others' motivation but I think the brief sharp drop in the Naz last week, along with the beginning warnng rumbles from the Fed yesterday, Greenspan's talk tomorrow, which will be harsh, and the slight possibility of a .50 raise, or at least another series of .25 hikes, is what has investors worried. I don't think the thread has degenerated. And it may not be a contrarian indicator either.
