<<Local and long distance telecommunications company Bell Atlantic (NYSE: BEL) added 874,000 wireless customers in the fourth quarter of last year>>

The Baby Bells are starting to report these inflated numbers to hide how much Sprint PCS is kicking their butt. BAM added less than 400,000 subs, the rest were through acquisition. SBC pulled one even further. They reported acquisition growth and YOY, not QOQ growth. Deep down in their detailed 3Q report, not the snippet released to the press, they only added 126,000 subs in 3Q.

Even though BAM is CDMA, I look to PCS as the leader. Can't imagine a Baby Bell or T ever getting anything right.

BTW, If you had a time machine, would you go back a week and sell Q, or would you go back a year and buy more?
