ADC sets 2-for-1 stock split
MINNEAPOLIS, Jan 13 (Reuters) - ADC Telecommunications Inc. (NasdaqNM:ADCT - news) said on Thursday its board of directors set a two-for-one split of its common stock in the form of a 100 percent dividend.

The new shares will be distributed on February 15, 2000, to shareowners of record as of the close of business on January 25, 2000, the company said.

In connection with the stock split, the board authorized an increase in the number of common shares to 600 million from 300 million.

An amendment to ADC's Restated Articles of Incorporation to increase the authorized shares of common stock from 300 million shares to 600 million shares.
