My friend who turned me on to 9984 in November 1998, 5 minutes before I got on a 14 hour plane journey (upon arrival, I was 16% up) sent me the following message ... I take what he says seriously as he is investment god to me and he is already living on an expensive island, next to the sand, with central covered atrium pond garden, and he does have thousands of shares of 9984 bought in 98.11, plus warrants.

Jay,
Well I took the plunge and added more 9984 yesterday (1/11 Tokyo) - it was difficult as they were only filling the institutional orders (couldn't believe they were doing this especially as I turned them on to the stock last year, but it is always a game of what have you done for me lately) so I did an end around and bought in Frankfurt. Also added
abit more to the HK positions, still have about 50% more to add to HK positions at these or lower levels. The action in NY seems driven by profit taking fear and some concern with the rise in long bond rates.
Fully expect 6.95 or 7% on the bond by mid-year or sooner (next week ?), but that will be more than enough to quell inflation fears and we should be fully loaded up with both bonds and stocks at that time.

I feel stockless and naked. My initial reaction is an uncontrollable urge to press all my fingers on all the 'buy' buttons on equity in a mad frenzy, or, maybe all the sell buttons on all the puts, or a mix of long equity and short puts/calls, like Elton playing the piano. But, let's wait just a bit more.
