"I think it's fair to say that Japanese individual investors as a group have never heard of Goldman Sachs." Respectfully disagree Malcolm, thanks mainly to a hot new TV show called "Money Angels." The show must be seen to be believed. Ordinary Japanese get into various bad situations concerning debt/money, and some babe-ish "money angels" give them financial advice! Guess who sponsors it? GS. They run very innovative commercials every ten minutes. It is hugely popular. This is excellent news for us. I think that GS holds a kind of aura of the magical gaijin who understand money--that's my impression from talking to ordinary people. Could be even a little Jewish conspiracy mixed in there (wildly antisemitic books have been huge sellers over the years). My impressions only! Yamakita
