I don't know why I feel compelled to share this, but -- sold most of my portfolio at open this morning. The AOL-Time Warner merger bothers me. It bothers me because everybody is touting it as the new economy swallowing the old, not because the new economy is so much better, bigger, more profitable than the old, but because the stock prices are higher. AOL isn't more valuable because it's so much more profitable, but just because it is. Yuck.
