DS and Sans--Re EXDS--

Do we have consensus at this point what the potential royalty would be? EXDS is the only pure play I know of. IBM and INTC are other ways to play it, apparently, but they are obviously involved in several other minor activities.

Does anyone know of any other players at this time?

Best,
John

DownSouth:

Why can't we say that we are in the tornado, as evidenced by quarterly growth of > 40%, and that EXDS is the market leader and a King as defined below:

KING: The Market leader, properly with a two-times lead or better over its closest competitor.

IOW, I think it has shot out of the pack. Its pure play web hosting segment dominance is supported by:
1. Wins > 75% of all bids
2. Hosts for the majority of the top 10 web sites worldwide, and the biggest share of the top 100 web sites on the WWW.
3. Has more than twice as much IDC sq. footage as its next closest competitor, Global Centers of Global Crossing lineage.
4. Plans to more than double IDC sq. footage next year, more than what has been announced by anyone else, based on thread monitoring and review of news articles.

Why can't we say EXDS is a king now, but at risk of becoming a prince with attitude later with increasing competition?
