See, here is where I see upside for AMD (instead of downside). Positive statements from Intel have to be in one of the two areas:
- Market growth (good for everyone)
- Increased gross margins (which most analysts will read as more benign price environment)


Chuck, Intel's major way to improve margins is to cut costs....and analysts have become much more sanguine to those kinds of improvements. In fact it is used almost as a criticism....as in...."the only way profits can increase at Intel is by improving margins thru cost cutting; revenues continue to be flat".

BTW it would appear the Tums worked.....as I type this, AMD
is up 2.
