Hitachi's estimate seems to be denominated in yen, not dollars, which makes it significantly less than $1.5 B.

The actual figure in the article was Y150 Billion....I just divided by a 100 to get the dollar amount. If you take the figures at face value it means that Hitachi is going to make a huge effort in HDR. The total amount of rev. they are supposed to currently get from telecom is Y190 Billion. They are counting on HDR to almost double their revenue.....and this is just in the first fiscal year of HDR availability.

Now if we can just get Cisco on board.....

Does anyone have an idea how many $ QCOM is committing to the Hitachi HDR test?
