Yes, they did. That was the event that established Tom Dorsey as a legitimate analyst. He and his clients were out of the market (or short) at the time of the BK and he re-entered shortly thereafter. This was based exclusively on P&F.

I can get the exact dates that he exited the market and re-entered if you like.

In 1987, the P&F indicators went south around Sept 4th and then turned positive from a very low level on Nov 4th.
