I don't think that it is the "American Public's" attitude. Certainly there are many Americans that think that Elian should stay here, but the real proponents of keeping him here are the Cuban Americans and a bunch of freakin politicians.

My views are in the first 25 or so posts on this thread.

Of course not. This biz with the exiled Cubans is in a totally different league. If you have ever met a few and hung around, you would know what I mean. Those jokers make you want to swear off capitalism and freedom. -g- There is a reason Castro is about the last commie in power .... the people that knew the old Cuban elite are still alive and telling stories. Quite a dichotomy considering how bad things are on the island.
