Intel has raised the bar once again for SPEC scores with the new 800MHz Xeon.

SPECint95 = 39 highest number ever published
SPECfp95 = 32 highest number ever published for x86

Kash,

<I just bought 200 Jan 40's for $1 5/16.>

I used the rally to lighten up on my semis (still heavily into AMD/ATML though) in anticipation of not so hot quarter from Intel and the probable collateral damage that might cause. Sitting on a decent chunk of cash going into earnings season.

Different strokes for different folks.

Chuck

I think there must have been an upgrade for this strength.

Kash, I don't think so...before, AMD went up on high volume 5+ mil. I don't think we will hit that today. Like I said to Cirruslver, I think people are buying and holding, waiting for earnings.....and that is what's pushing the price up.
