I agree. No one looks at balance sheets, options grants, earnings, interest rates or anything else "real" for that matter.

They are buying splits, charts, announced buybacks (real or imagined), hype, and whatever they think everyone else is going to buy.

It will end when the excesses reach the point where they can no longer be propped.

Skeets, The main reason higher rates will stop the specs is because they are all borrowing money and the lenders will someday look at the collateral and lose their cookies. And folks will watch their mortgage payments track ever higher. <g>
