Statistics about Turkey, population 65.5 million !
To give you an idea of what the prospect of G* is in Turkey, these are the highlights:
Cellular operators,
operator system users annual-increase
Turk Telecom NMT450 130.000 Telsim gsm900 1.590.000 199,4% Turkcell gsm900 2.505.000 70%
Total cell penetration in oct. 1999, 6.61%
My prediction after years in the telecom business! 65,5 million * 0,04% of population = 2.620.000 Globalstar users in year 2006 in Turkey alone. The 0,04% is based on demographic coverage in cell planning, buying power of population, and number of roamers (travellers) visiting the country. This number can be to low if the Turk economy and travel business improves.
Based on the GSM growth numbers, 25% per year for Globalstar is not very optimistic.
