I did notice that he raised his head to make a few vitriolic posts.

Question for all - Is Greenspan's reappointment subject to Congressional approval? Advice and consent, that whole thing. If so, what are the chances that the Fed would jack rates again at the risk of tanking the market and jeopardizing the appointment. On the other hand, if no Congressional approval is needed, there won't be any constraints on the Fed to jack rates 50 bp, if that's what they want to do.

Maybe Herr Gloop has some thoughts on this?
