Nevertheless, this is the format in which the trade detail is provided from Penson. Odd that they don't provide the one format that everyone wants. Something like this: Purchase Sell Symbol #shares Date Cost Date price P/L DELL 1000 12/20/1999 42,000 12/20/1999 42,500 +500 ... Funny thing is that they generate this info in the PDF file that you get when you do an e-mail request, but you cant use it because it is PDF. At least the way you gave me provides the ability to calculate the "grand total", which I suppose is all the IRS really cares about anyway. Eric
